6 Day Intensive: Sunday July 9 to Friday July 14, 2017
Cost: $170/$150 by June 30th Register!
An Ashtanga Intensive is a format for learning the Ashtanga Method as a total beginner or a seasoned practitioner. Together we build a community of practice to dive deeply and explore the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual textures of the ancient process and modern practice. We intend to do this with honesty in order to allow for a wide exploration of ourselves and the tradition amidst the truth of our lives.
Sunday morning we begin with a led class at 7:30a.
Monday–Friday mornings we begin at 6:30am with a seated practice of guided meditation, pranayama (breath-control), chanting, and philosophy. From there we will begin the movement practice, learning posture by posture in the traditional Mysore method.
Wednesday evening will be a special session from 7-8:45p. This may include a focus on breath, postural specifics, philosophy, and/or a sharing circle.
This is 6 day program, and though you are not required to attend every class, this intensive is limited to practitioners who sign up for the full week.

Ashtanga Yoga is a thousand-year old system for human transformation, from the suffering of fragmented awareness, toward peace through the embodied recognition of our wholeness.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is the practice of breath, physical postures, and focused awareness passed down from teacher to student for at-least the last century, and most likely much longer.
Mysore Style Ashtanga Vinyasa is the method of learning this practice through diligent, slow, and personalized learning, taught one-on-one in a group setting so that each student practices similar forms in a way that is appropriate for them; on any given day, life-stage, or physical condition.
