New to Yoga
One of the hardest things about yoga is just literally showing up… and walking up the steps to the studio. There are endless reasons and excuses why now is the not right time. The yogic texts remind us the Yoga happens here and now. Our daily lives reveal that every moment or situation is an opportunity to apply and embody the skills we practice in the yoga studio – such as finding ease within effort, softening layers of tension, quieting the mind, developing strength, stability, and suppleness, and so on. We begin to realize that yoga is lifestyle and a way of being in relationship with ourselves and all things, rather than simply a “spiritual P.E. class.”
The following courses and classes are designed for beginners and those newer to yoga:
Drop in Classes:
Yoga Rx with Tucker Adams (level 1 beginners)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30am-12
Rise and Shine with Alana Mitnick (level 1 beginners)
Yoga Basics/Unwind (level 1/2 beginners)
Mondays 5:15-6:45pm with Alana Mitnick
Thursdays 5:15-6:45pm with Julia Berkeley
Restorative Yoga with Jeanne Korn
Wednesdays 5:15-6:45pm (all levels, very gentle and calming to relieve stress)

Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in. We suggest showing up on a relatively light or empty stomach. We also recommend investing in your own yoga mat because it helps with commitment and it reminds us to practice when we get too busy or forget.
The studio is fully equip with mats and props at no additional charge.
