Tucker began practicing yoga in the 1970’s and began teaching in the early 1980’s. She immediately fell in love with the practice and teachings, and continues to be compelled by and drawn to them. She has taught public classes and privately in Ojai for 20 years.
Tucker has studied and trained over many years with a number of inspiring and amazing teachers, including many in the Iyengar tradition. She is certified through the Integrative Yoga for Seniors Professional Training program at Duke University, and is a certified iRest® Yoga Nidra teacher.
Tucker has directed and taught in the Yoga for Seniors program through the Ojai non-profit Help of Ojai since 2007. Tucker has extensive experience working with seniors and those who may have movement limitations. She particularly enjoys working with those who are new to yoga, and her passion is to help make these practices available to everyone who has a desire and interest in exploring yoga.
In Tucker’s classes, we practice listening to our bodies, creating physical space and inner and outer strength. We use alignment principals to keep us moving with safety and ease. We practice making space for what is actually here in this moment. We practice unfolding in self-compassion to the experience of our bodies, mind and breath, connecting us to the the wholeness that is our true nature. Tucker’s website.

Rosemary teaches a strong, honest and deeply compassionate flow practice. She emphasizes the breath, intention, mindful alignment and ultimately, the cultivation of energy and awareness. It is her experience and belief that a consistent practice offers the practitioner a pathway to his or her own divine, radiant nature.
Rosemary’s journey towards becoming a devoted yogi and eventually, a yoga instructor began with the Ashtanga first series taught by beloved Ashtanga yoga teacher Tim Miller. Hooked on yoga immediately, she devoted herself to the mysore practice and studied with Tim extensively. Years later, further exploration guided her to Vinyasa Flow yoga classes where she found the dance of Vinyasa liberating, beautiful, creative, and alive. She then began practicing with an amazing array of teachers within the yoga flow lineage including Dharma Mittra and Shiva Rea, learning increased depth and subtlety within the practice – and within the art of teaching.
After teacher trainings with David Swenson, a Yoga Alliance Certification, and a myriad of other trainings, she began her teaching career in 2004. Her most recent Ashtanga Primary Series teacher training has been under the instruction of Tim Miller in January 2012. In addition to her physical practice, Rosemary has studied Vipassana Meditation at Spirit Rock Center and maintains a personal meditation practice.
Rosemary currently teaches at various yoga studios in San Francisco and Ojai including The Pad and the Ojai Yoga Shala. She also leads a number of popular yoga retreats and trainings in California, Hawaii and Mexico each year. Rosemary’s website.
Andrea began practicing yoga alongside senior citizens at a tiny community center when she was a senior in high school in 1997. Since then, she has deepened and broadened her practice with many generous and insightful teachers. Andrea practices yoga for the stillness it creates in the body and mind, making the impossible possible. She completed her RYT 200 teacher training in 2006, and teaches to serve the community by helping others open to yoga’s immeasurable gifts. Her classes are accessible to all skill levels, and she aims to create an environment for radical self acceptance. A scientist by training, Andrea approaches the yoga practice with a willingness to be surprised and a reverence for nature, both the internal and external wilderness.
